The best shampoo and conditioner you can use on your dog is one with Aloe and Oatmeal. It will moisturize the skin and will not strip your dogs natural skin oils. ive allways used baby shampoo its alot cheaper than puppy shampoo and if u do get it in their eyes it wont burn them good luck
Go to pet smart or petco, the people there will help you find everything
Don't bathe/shower your pet unless they absolutely need it. It will mess up their coat and their skin. Bathing puppies is always risky... You can get water in their ears, get them too cold, cause skin problems, etc. Please don't bathe your puppy.
If you ABSOLUTELY have to bathe your dog, make sure you use a shampoo specifically for dogs. They have a different skin pH than people, so they need a different kind of soap.

Who loves aussie shampoo and conditioners?
i just purchased my first ever aussie shampoo and i love it!!!!!!!! my hair felt so clean and soft the feeling it gave me was just undiscribable i cant beleive iv waited this long to finally try their shampoos....im getting the conditioner today since i only bought the shampoo.......so my question is does this product give you this feel every time????
bc most shampoos at first give you a great impression then after useing them for so long they dont do much anymore and your hair feels like ';whatever';........how long have you used it ? and are you happy everytime you wash your hair? does it always give you that great feel to your hair?Who loves aussie shampoo and conditioners?

Also, What's your favorite? Mine is the totally twisted one. God, I can't wait to take a shower in the morning with that stuff!!

Split ends/ Loved Shampoo?
I haven't honestly cut my hair in about 2 years except for getting my bangs trimmed. I've never straightened it, I don't even blow dry it. I use herbal essences as a conditioner and all sorts of brands for a shampoo. Really it's probably one of my favorite things in the world to try a new shampoo. I've tried getting some of the Garnier shamp, conditioner but it really tangles up my hair. I don't think my split ends are that long, about maybe an inch but my hair is layered and all different lengths so I'm worried about trimming it also the ends of my hair are the most golden because of the sun highlighting them which pretty much is why I hate cutting it.
Anyway I just want to make sure I'm not really messing with my hair because I do want it to grow to be quite a bit longer... I shampoo/condition on and off about every 3 days.
I understand that not cutting your hair so often leads to split ends and they can lead to more fragile hair (btw anyone know of a good strengthening brand?) but what I don't understand is why trimming split ends will make your hair grow faster? Because the ends aren't so fragile they rip as much??
And while on the subject of hair been wanting to ask forever; What shampoo do you love and what does it do for your hair??Split ends/ Loved Shampoo?
Trimming the split ends doesn't really make your hair grow faster...it keeps it from breaking off, so you actually keep the hair that you have.
If you don't use heat products or chemicals on your hair, you could go 2-3 months in between trims. But 3 years is way too long.

I have thick curly hair, and I'd love thin hair. Any shampoos or anything that can do the trick?
I strongly dislike my thick curly hair. Its always frizzy, and when I get around to straighten it, it takes about 30-40 minutes and isn't thin enough for my liking. I wouldn't mind my curls at all if my hair was thin, but since it's thick I can't stand it. I know I can never have thin straight hair {which is what I wish I had}, but I just want to beable to do normal things without my hair freaking out. For instance, swimming. I love to swim, but my hair is always nasty and gross looking/feeling when it drys out. I want to beable to go swimming, get out, and it dry thin and curly; not thick, curly, and frizzy. I've tryed getting my hair thinned at the salon, but it doesnt really help me. I've also tryed layers, but that gave me even more volume! i also have frizzy hair . to tame ur frizz [which helped 4 me] wash ur hair with white rain shampoo and conditioner . then towel dry ur hair . then b4 u straighten ur hair . spray oil sheen on each piece . u will have no more frizz . it may still be a little frizzy but it helps! =] Report Abuse

Do NOT Thin your hair, thinning only works for straight thick hair, what will eventually happen once you thin it is the hair will continue to grow and because some stands will be shorter that others your hair will poof more.. I have thick naturally wavy hair.( I am Mex/American.) What I do is get a razor cut, make sure you go to a good salon because the wrong person can ruin this cut. It is a complex way of cutting. So go get your hair razor cut, then at night wash it, straighten it before bed, then in the morning run I use a conair dryer that includes a comb so it blows and straightens at the same time. With the hair being dry all you are doing is polishing it. Then you are off for the day. It takes me about 5-10 min. At night, yes it takes about 20min. But the cut makes all the difference, if you ask the stylist to razor it in layers so it kinda flips out at the tips it will look fantastic. Unfortunatly curly hair is too complicated, timely and hard w/ thick hair. I prefer straight, and daily I am complimented on my hair. Its so shiny after the polish in the morning. I use Tressume shampoo for dry coarse hair, and conditioner. After its straighted I use alittle frizz control balm they make as well. You just need the right cut, and products. Do not wash your hair every day either! This will dry it out and make it dull and more poofy. So good luck!

Honey, how THICK your hair is depends upon the number of hair follicles on your head, and on how coarse your hair is. I think what you really want is for your hair to be less coarse - not have all your hair fall out.
Other than having it chemically straightened there is really little you can do with wet hair left to dry naturally. You certainly need to be sure you use plenty of conditioner. There are some straightening products out there in shampoos and conditioners but once you get in the water, all bets are off. In those situations, just pull it back.
I remmeber when i was younger, we avoided using Salon Selectives (i think) shampoo because for some reason we thought it made your hair shed more often. LOL, silly girls. but you could try it!

Work with what you've got, dont try to make it something its not. And most people are pretty hard on themselves. I am a guy and i have straight hair, but after i go swimming my hair frizzes out too. I think alot of peoples hair frizzes out, but its not as bad as you think. We always think our hair looks worse than what it is. If you are really self conscious about your hair after swimming, but put on a baseball hat. Girls always look sexy in hats and it keeps your hair from sticking out all over the place.

Use alovera shampoo it's very good I know because I have hair that is more than 60 cms long and my hair is thick no dandruff %26amp; my hair does not fall so alovera is the best!!!!!! If you have dry hair the LAST thing you want is lots of shampoo.
Shampoo is what dries your hair out - conditioner brings the moisture back but not completely. Plus if you're washing it every day or every second day you're not allowing your hair enough time to bring the oils back. = scarecrow hair.
Just stop shampooing it so much!

aussie makes a really good deep conditioner you can buy, for only about 5$, i use it all the time. they have a both daily, and umm, not daily? haha. they work wonders! it will make your hair healthier and softer. i noticed a difference instantly. i have the same type hair you do.

I would suggest Garnier.. cos i ve been usin it for a year now.. but really if u want ur hair to be shiny soft and healthy, try soaking fenugreek( indian spice) in warm water over night and in the morning make a smooth paste of it and apply it on the hair and the scalp after (applyin coconut oil) then after half hour or so give a shampoo bath or shikakai bath.. this s traditional oil bath wer ur hair retains the necessary oils..u need to wash off the fenugreek well with lots of water.. don worry if it remains after u have washed ur hair.. after ur hair is dried, they ll fall off by themselves.. u can feel the softness once ur hair is dry. after takin oil bath for few times u can feel ur hair is healthy supple and good.. try out

John Frieda brilliant Brunette. The smell is just so nice, my hair is left soft and silky, and I just love the way it leaves my hair feeling clean but not squeaky, like the oils have been stripped.
It's a little pricey at 5 dollars for each Shampoo and conditioner, but the John Frieda line is sooo worth it!
I've never used the other lines ( for obvious reasons ) but that man is a GENIUS with hair care, since he started the hair styling accessory lines of the creams, and gels and whatnot. Therefore put your Faith in him. Good Luck =)

';Time Renewal'; which can help undo a lot of the damage we've done to our poor hair.
';Breakage Defense'; which helps maintain strong hair and stop breakage
and ';Frizz Control'; which...obviously, controls frizz!
I would seriously check our their Restoratives line. I've been doing all sorts of damage on my hair for the past few years, and after using this line for like...a month and a half, my hair's great.

Yes. All shampoos (ESPECIALLY shampoos not formulated for coloured hair) will wash out your colour. They have harsh cleansers like lauryl or laureth sulfate.
That conditioner is basically put in there to repair the damage caused by the colouring process. It really doesn't usually help to preserve colour.
If you want to keep your colour:
-cut down washing your hair with Herbal Essences to at most 1x per week.
-use baby shampoo for days when your hair starts to get oily. Otherwise, don't wash your hair
-use conditioner every day in your hair.

If you live near a larger Safeway store there is this brand they carry, I can't recall the name but its in a green bottle. I love lavender as well and the more expensive products are worth it because they smell better.
The store Body %26amp; Bath has all kinds of Lavender products. If you grow your own lavender- you can pick the flowers %26amp; dry them . There are all kinds of Lavender- English- Spanish-etc. Check out your local nursery-very hardy %26amp; they grow almost in any climate %26amp; easy to grow. Good luck.
You can make your own Lavender Toiletries by purchasing a small bottle of lavender Essential Oil (not to be confused with Fragrance oil!) and adding 10-15 drops per 1/2 c. of liquid.
For example- 1- 8oz bottle of unscented shampoo
add 30 drops Lavender Essential oil
Mix well and enjoy

I used to work at GNC and they have a line of products made by Avalon. Avalon Organic Botanicals is the full name. They have make-up removers, toners, face washes, body washes, lotions, and shampoo and conditioner that are made with lavender. I use the make-up remover and it is so nice smelling and gentle. I use Johnsons bedtime bath for babies....its has a nice lavender smell. The bedtime lotion also smells great. I love them both!
If you haven't tried the Tide laundry bubbles, give it a try. The matching Downy softner is also great.

I luv Herbal Essences. They have different kinds for different kinds of hair. The scents are so enjoyable. After washing my hair, I get a lot of compliments about how nice my hair smells. lol. Even my French teacher made a compliment about that. Also, I luv that one type of their shampoo has if your hair is wavy and you always straighten it, the special shampoo makes it a lot straighter and easier to straighten.

It smells good, doesn't look greasy and doesn't bother my allergies, so it's working for me!

I luv Herbal Essences. They have different kinds for different kinds of hair. The scents are so enjoyable. After washing my hair, I get a lot of compliments about how nice my hair smells. lol. Even my French teacher made a compliment about that. Also, I luv that one type of their shampoo has if your hair is wavy and you always straighten it, the special shampoo makes it a lot straighter and easier to straighten.

I would suggest take a bottle of your favorite shampoo, and mix beer in it......there ya go 75 % shampoo with 25% beer......if you have an extra bottle almost empty wash it out add some of the shampoo from the bottle and mix some more beer in it, youll have 2 pop um in the refrig.

You end up spending only a little more than the cheap brands.

Some suggested leave in conditioners: Aveda Brilliant Damage Control, Bumble and bumble leave in conditioner with frizz control, or Aussie Hair Insurance.

Smell-wise, I love Redken's Blonde Glam shampoo %26amp; conditioner.
Quality wise -- I love most Fredric Fekkai conditioners and I also like Redken extreme conditioner. Shampoos are mostly the same really, all just clean your hair. Top of the line shampoos cost around $20 but do the same thing as Dove, which is way cheaper and smells good!
i have yet to find a shampoo that i love. i switch between paul mitchell and dove usually.
but, i agree with you, the Hydralicious one is my favorite.
my favorite deep conditioner at the moment is Aussie Deeeeeeep.
both drugstore and salon shampoos are loaded up with really toxic chemicals and many carcinogens. thats why i only use natural and hollistic shampoos and conditioners. they deffinetly work better without sabataging your health and hair

Smell-wise, I love Redken's Blonde Glam shampoo %26amp; conditioner.
Quality wise -- I love most Fredric Fekkai conditioners and I also like Redken extreme conditioner. Shampoos are mostly the same really, all just clean your hair. Top of the line shampoos cost around $20 but do the same thing as Dove, which is way cheaper and smells good!
i have yet to find a shampoo that i love. i switch between paul mitchell and dove usually.
but, i agree with you, the Hydralicious one is my favorite.
my favorite deep conditioner at the moment is Aussie Deeeeeeep.
both drugstore and salon shampoos are loaded up with really toxic chemicals and many carcinogens. thats why i only use natural and hollistic shampoos and conditioners. they deffinetly work better without sabataging your health and hair
urm coconut %26amp; youghurt is beautiful, i can't remember what make it is.
it's in a brown bottle, and it smells lovely, and makes your hair smell soo nicee:)

For your scalp problem, I'd suggest you to stop using h%26amp;s right now and go to the pharmacy to buy a specific shampoo, cause h%26amp;s is too agressive and is gonna make it worse. I know it, I often have eczema on my scalp (because of the sand when I'm at the beach) and I've tried Neutrogena T-Gel for sensitive scalp and it worked!
Try a mild shampoo for sensitive scalp.

Well I just use the ferret shampoo that was at Petco for my 2 ferrets. Mine are Marshall Farms ferrets so the guy at Petco recommended that I give them Marshall Farms premium ferrets food and treats. Because if you feed them with their food they are guaranteed for a year and that is what they are raised their whole life. Something you can consider is mixing half ferret food and half kitten food to save a little on cost. Kitten food has them same protein, fat, etc content as ferret food. But that's purely up to you.
As for treats, the treats I got for mine...one of my ferrets likes them and my other doesn't. So you'll have to find something it likes. Ferrets are carnivores so you can give them any kind of meat as a treat as long as it's unseasoned, breaded, etc.
Make sure to get some ear cleaner, their ears get pretty nasty after a couple weeks or so. and their nails grow pretty quick as well, you can just use human nail clippers though.
Umm toys...don't worry about expensive things, ferrets will enjoy pretty much anything. Warning though...a lot of people have said they'll love toilet paper rolls and stuff. So I had those and paper towel rolls in their little room. They were 3 months old and you could tell their heads weren't ever going to get in there. But one day one of them was playing around, acting crazy and somehow lodged his head in a paper towel roll and got stuck. O.o He was ok but it scared the crap out of me, I had to rip it to get it off of him. So that's something to look out for.
Other than that, mine have loved boxes. They'll tip them over, hide under them, jump in them. They'll FLIP if you have packing peanuts or something. They also love digging, so we actually had a small plastic child swimming pool full of sand. They loved that but it was messy. They'd love it just as much with shredded paper or something similar. But yeah, they'll pretty much enjoy anything. They are wild little things!

I would never feed my ferret marshal ..anything.. treats.. food.. nothing.. Marshall is such a disgusting company.. If you can.. try to purchase your ferret from another breeder.. Petco has changed from marshall ferrets to a new canadian breeder... canadian ferrets are GIANTS :) I have a peterson ferret from Reno he's almost 4.
i use baby shampoo's because you can choose different scents and they don't dry out their skin as much as the leading ferret shampoo's do..
food... food is in my opinion the key essential to keeping a healthy ferret.. buy innova evo ferret food.. it's made exclusively for ferrets by a premium food company.. go to their website to find a retailer near you.. if you have money and want to try something even better. look up path valley farms foods.. she makes neat things and really cares for her ferrets.. also she is a breeder ;)

I Like Garnier Fructis Because It makes my hair smell amazing, The description of what it does is like 800 times more clear than aussie, and It makes my hair easier to comb and whatnot.
Body wash axe has like an amazing body wash, the spray not so much. (Favorite Pheonix and Clix)
Also bath and body works smells really nice too even though it's somewhat expensive. ( Favorite is japanese cherry blossom)

NO. Their diet is what created healthy feathers. Birds are sensitive and shampoo contains products that could cause a skin reaction. Birds in the wild do not shampoo. Give them a healthy diet and fresh water. When it is warm in the summer, I take my bird outside in a sunny place and spray out his cage. He loves this, but I do not let him stay in the sun for very long and I would never put products on him.

One time last spring I went to Wal-Mart to get some shampoo and I always get the big, odd shaped bottle of Aussie; the one that has the pump thing on top that you have to turn one way or another to pop up (sometimes I can't get it to pop up and I have to pour it out each time like a dunce). Well, I was walking along with the pump thing between my fingers and swinging the bottle back and forth like Little Red Robin Hood swinging her basket and *fling!* the whole top had in the meanwhile come unscrewed and the bottle went flying through the air and then landed *thunk!* standing straight up and down on the floor and the bottle split like a gallon of milk and ran out everywhere. %26gt;_%26lt; Ungh!
Everybody just stopped and looked at me and everything in that area got real quiet. Some people laughed and others just looked at me like I was nuts. I also got some accusing stares like I'd done it on purpose. The worst part was I was also carrying under my arm a twelve pack of toilet tissue. I was so embarrassed.
So no, I no longer stop and smell the shampoo. I just grasp it firmly in my hands and go. Although today I went to the Subway in Wal-Mart and got a footlong tuna with American cheese (on white) with pickles and onions (and Cheetos) and when I got back to work and began eating there was a pink lady bug on my tuna. o_O I've seen orange, grey and white ones, but never pink.
Some people go to the market and find a man, but all I get is a pink punk ladybug on my tuna. lol

I didn't know Daniel's problem existed. Can you imagine spending $$money on shampoo only to find it interacts with your own body to make you smell like rancid meat? That's terrible. The saddest part is that you would have to have lived through that problem at least once to find out that happens to you!
As for me, I just use a body wash that's good for hair and body. I end up smelling pretty good. It's Axe Phoenix. I also have deoderant and cologne that smells the same.
I don't like shopping that much so I just get what I need and go.

So, if I need shampoo, I always make sure to smell it, even if it's my regular brand, in case they changed the smell.
I buy most of my products from off of the internet. Most stores in my area do not cater to my ethnic needs. I usually buy products that are fragrance free. Most items I find in the store have harsh chemicals, cheap chemicals, a minuscule amount of needed ingredients which actually yields to no results or bogus and useless ingredients that degrade the inherent condition of my hair or skin and thus reinforcing a contingency of these products. Most products I use on my hair are all natural. Ethnic hair can be quite fragile =/
